Utah Canyon Engagement Session: Jenna & Dallas

Our feature today brings such simple sweetness it makes my heart swell with affection! Jenna & Dallas adventured to the canyons of Utah with Nicole Leslie Photography to show that in times where love seems decidedly complex, sometimes love is two people and a little golden light.

From Nicole Burrup of Nicole Leslie Photography:

“This engagement session was shot on Fuji 400h film in the White Rocks of Snow Canyon in Saint George, Utah. This location is so diverse and is a little oasis tucked away in the sea of otherwise red rock that so characteristically fills Snow Canyon. The couple, Jenna and Dallas were absolutely adorable and completely smitten with each other and absolute champs for hiking up a mountain cliff and then so flawlessly jumping right into portraits looking as lovely as when we began.

There were so many gorgeous textures to play with that made this session unique. The grainy sand, the striations of the rock, and the golden grass made each frame come to life. I was completely captivated by the illuminating sunlight that gently kissed their skin and was touched by the emotion this sweet couple exhibited throughout the session.”

From the couple, Jenna & Dallas:

How did you two meet? What were your first impressions of one another?
Dallas: “Jenna and I met through family. As a group, we all went to a movie. By the end of the night we both felt this connection that was different with anyone previously. This connection made us both intrigued.”
What is your favorite thing about each other?

Dallas: “My favorite thing about Jenna is her loving attitude toward people. Jenna finds joy in getting to know others and helping them in any way that she can.”

Tell us a funny story relating to your wedding day!

Dallas: “The day of your wedding can be stressful. Unfortunately, Jenna was sick all day. She was laying bed, needing help from friends and loved ones. Thankfully, Jenna felt good enough for the wedding. However, I had to take Jenna to the ER at 2:30 in the morning. Everything ended up being fine, but it was one long night!”

What is the best thing you’ve learned from one another?

Dallas: “I think the thing we both have learned from each other is to have an opened mind and to always be patient with each other and ourselves.”

What was your favorite part about planning your wedding?

“Our favorite thing about planning our wedding was picking out songs for our wedding. We went on a road trip and listened to a million songs! We laughed and cried as we made the perfect playlist for our love story. Another favorite part was gathering photos from our childhood and making a special video!”

What is the most honest thing you can say about love?

“Love is not how much you say I love you but how much you prove you do.”
