The Magic of Venice

The magic of Venice comes alive in this enchanting editorial that captures the essence of romance and elegance in a city rich with history and mystery. From the charming streets to the sunlit ballrooms, each frame skillfully navigates the interplay of light and shadow, color and texture. Storytelling finds new expression amidst the iconic beauty of Venice, a city where every corner holds a treasure trove of memories waiting to be documented!

Legacy is everything to me. I began my business entirely based on my family— the best storytellers I’ve ever met. Striving after my Italian roots and running on the excitement of kicking off wedding season, I chose to bring a new vision to life in Venice, Italy: where story is inevitable.

Sharing these editorial images gives me great joy for two reasons. First off, these are images taken in one of the countries where my family began. Secondly, creating some of these on film challenged me to be better as a hybrid film and digital wedding photographer. Venice is a city that exhibits timeless visuals, but maintains an incredible sense of mystery and magic. This mystique juxtaposed with Serena and David’s tendency to laugh and snuggle together kept a light and loving vibe the whole time. On such a sunny, beautiful day, the glow is truly evident on film.

Instead of lush greenery, Venice brings an antique urban vibe to the table. My goal here was to show elegance intertwining with romance amidst nooks and crannies of history. Romantic hues of red and magenta contrast cream in the florals, while Serena and David’s olive skin tones keep us feeling moody. Meanwhile, the attention to detail on the dress by WONA Concept is the perfect compliment of texture in an already ornate setting. This combined with a timeless, long, wavy hairstyle and scripted stationary.

The harsher light streaming into the ballroom instantly brings the strength of color and texture to the forefront. Italy immediately draws you to portraiture and the renaissance appreciation of form. That said, I took time to create dramatic portraits of Serena as well as establishing shots of the architecture that surrounded us.
