I don’t know about you, but one of my favorite parts of a royal wedding is watching all the littles: page boys, flower girls, they have them in spades — and oh my heart are they the cutest! So, naturally, when a special little shoot inspired by these tiny entourages slid across our desks, we couldn’t help but share it: a lovely tea party fit for a (to-be) queen and all her teeny, tiny little princesses!
A word from the team:
“Our fabulous bride, Jessi, asked us recently to help her put together a super sweet tea party where she was going to ask her little nieces to be flower girls for her upcoming wedding. She wanted it to feel ‘grown up’ and more modern where the girls could feel more like ladies than little girls. She left it up to us to be sure if was full of pretty details and really give the girls a warm, special and welcoming start to her wedding. Just like in royal weddings, Jessi too wanted her family’s children to all be involved in the wedding day and she was so excited that she had 6 little nieces to be involved.
With a touch of modern and a whole lot of adorable details, like the floral ice cubes by Heidi with NuBlu Events, and the calligraphy background on fabric made by Handsome Love Calligraphy, with the lyrics to one of the bride’s favorite songs; and then all the gorgeous floral accents above and on the table by Bella Lu Floral; it was sure to be a hit with all the girls!
The custom invitations made by Camille with Handsome Love Calligraphy were the perfect start to this fun day with such gorgeous details and individual made elements. At the table, each of the girls had a note from Jessi asking her to be in the wedding and these were handwritten by Camille as well.
Jessi wore a stunning beaded dress from Revolve and had her hair and make up done that day with professionals; Kim J Beauty and Make up by Heather B. We served tea, and a little bubbly lemonade to go with the beautiful treats by DBar & Beet Box. The girls visited with one another and the bride at the charming table!
It was important to our bride that we had lots of photographs of her and her nieces on this day, and her wedding photographer Jacey Caldwell captured it all in the most perfect way. With 6 little girls and two that were under 2 years old, it was hard to get everyone in all at once, but each of the girls had individual time with the bride as she presented flower crowns, combs, notes and even a jacket for one of the girls! It was so special to watch each of the girls be asked and their reaction to the fun ahead in the wedding. Jessi has been so close to each of them by attending dance recitals, sports and plays and she really wanted this day to be something they would remember.”
A love note from the bride, Jessi:
“It truly was so special to me to have one last girls day with all my favorite little girls before I stepped into my role as a wife and one day a mother to girls of my own. These girls mean so much to me and I loved getting to show them in this special way. We always do fun things together like get our nails done or sleep overs or dress-up therefore, I felt like a tea part was a perfect way to ask the girls to be apart of this special day of mine. I’m so grateful for a photographer and florist willing to help me dream up the perfect day for my girls. I will treasure these memories and photos forever!”
