Tell us about your attire choices.
“His outfit was easy as we knew we wanted a tux. We went with a navy tux and bowties. I had two dresses – one for the ceremony and another for the reception. The ceremony dress was lace and had a long train. The reception dress was modern with wave-like tool on the bottom. My favorite part of my wedding attire was my veil. It was handmade and incorporated my grandmother’s lace from her wedding dress.”

“Lauren and Ryan faced many hurdles planning a wedding through a pandemic but they managed to pull off a love-filled celebration nonetheless! Surrounded by their closest family and friends, they said I do and were all smiles from start to finish!” -Lynzie Hazan of Bonphotage

What was the most important to the two of you while planning?
“Our ceremony and photographs after around the city were most important to us. We didn’t do first look so the first time we’d be together for couple photos was after the ceremony.”

What is your proposal story?
“A few months before, he told me to block my calendar for a work party. I got all dressed up (which isn’t the norm for me) and was so surprised when he got down on one knee and proposed! He planned the most perfect day – his best friend was there to photograph and when I wanted to call my family and friends, he told me to wait until we got back to his parents since my family was there. Little did I know, it was all our closest family and friends!”

Tell us a little a bit about your wedding
“We knew that we wanted to get married in a church. Beyond that, we didn’t have a set idea of what our wedding would look like. Our original wedding was scheduled for June. With the COVID pandemic, we made the difficult decision to postpone to October. We stuck with our original color choices of blush and green color (even with an October wedding) since the bridesmaids had already bought their dresses. Our wedding style was traditional and romantic.”

What were your favorite parts of the day?
“Our favorite part of the day was the ceremony. The feeling of walking down the aisle with my dad, seeing our family and friends in the church, and him looking at me for the first time, is something I’ll never forget. We had to scale back our reception substantially due to the COVID restrictions still in place. Our reception was much more intimate but we chose to do everything we had planned – cake cutting, speeches, dances, and all. We are so happy we did!”

Do you have any advice for couples planning their weddings now?
“If I could give one piece of advice during the planning process, it’d be don’t stress and have fun. The day goes by so fast that something that you thought was important, really isn’t.”
