A serene in home family session to document one of life’s beautiful seasons for this family. I loved to see the reality of life in these photos, the slightly messy shirt of a baby, toys spilling onto the floor. Simple reminders that perfection isn’t real but these dearest moments are absolutely perfect. Captured in such a stunning way on film you can see the delight as this family just enjoyed their time together in their home, then concluded the family session in an outdoor location.
It’s actually been proven by psychologists that it’s incredibly healthy children to physically see their family as a unit, and to see themselves represented as a valued member of that unit. Families grow and change for reasons such as marriage, birth, loved ones passing away, and others moving far away. Yearly photos capture these changes, creating a timeline of milestone events.
That is the reason why I love to shoot Family Portraits- especially at their homes. This shooting was made in Germany on film. The clients wanted to document growth progress of their son , watching him change and laugh.
