Neutrals are always a good choice in our opinion. We love to see variation of style and this wedding has such a modern indie vibe that is simple yet gorgeous. Everything in this shoot was so complimentary, from the hanging florals to the gorgeous vintage stationary. The presentation was stunning and we really hope that you notice her eclectic jewelry and the airy table decor. Peaceful is one of the words we feel should be used to describe this masterpiece and we hope that you feel that as you look through this inspiration.
From the Photographer: I think this shoot was especially meaningful for me because as a new resident of SoCal, it created a way for me to meet local vendors and create an event for us all to connect. It truly was the industry building each other up from the inside and showed me I have a real passion not just for brides and grooms, but the wedding vendors and artists as well that all play a part in making someone’s day magical. I’ve long waited for the opportunity to submit something to you all, and finally I felt we had organically created something that fit what you all are looking for as well.
From the Photographer: Within the luxury and fine art photography world, it’s very popular to stay within the safe zone that neutral palettes provide. They pair so well with the naturally soft nature of film, but have we ever thought about why these colors work so well? As a recent graduate of my Masters in Fine Arts, I have a special love for color theory and the power it provides when couples with a beautifully composed image. This monochromatic shoot was born out of a desire to experiment with the visual communication potential of color and to be a little more intentional with an “overplayed” palette.
