Mallory and Daniel are expecting their new baby any day now – and they are keeping the gender a surprise! They wanted to do this fun and colorful maternity session to highlight this rainbow baby, and had photographer Natalie Schutt come along to capture this memorable time in their lives! We asked this couple a few things about what it was like to be having a baby in the midst of this crazy year we’ve been having – here’s what they said:
How has it felt to be pregnant during this year?
Being pregnant during 2020 has been different than we had expected, but different wasn’t necessarily bad. We’ve had to adjust various aspects of our lifestyle, given the current circumstances, but it has allowed us to slow down and connect with each other more than even. So although it has been different, we’ve found our silver lining and have made the most of it.
Tell us what you anticipate most about your life changing after the baby arrives!
We know our life is about to completely change, but we couldnât be more excited for all the new memories and challenges to come. The things we anticipate most are watching our baby grow and experience new adventures with us. We love to travel and explore and we canât wait to take our little one with us. Life is full of blessings and we can’t wait to show our baby the world.
Whatâs your future family vision?
Our future vision consists of a unified family that seeks God, remains true to our values, and works hard no matter who is watching. We are excited to continue growing our family while sharing the love of God to our miracle baby.
What was the biggest lesson you learned during this pregnancy?
The biggest lesson we’ve learned has been patience and the ability to slow down. Since our teenage years we have always been on the go and non stop hustling to advance in school and our careers. However, if you’re always grinding, you don’t allow yourself time to listen to your body and cherish the moments. Pregnancy is truly one of the most miraculous things a family can experience, but it can be over before you know it if you don’t allow yourself time to slow down and breathe.
