Lacey & Ryan’s Earth Toned Wedding

Lacey & Ryan’s Earth Toned Wedding

Lacey & Ryan’s earth toned wedding was held on a beautiful day with the most gorgeous light shining through the trees. With a bold fall color palette of mauve, pinks, orange and green the atmosphere of autumn was easily felt through the design details of their wedding day!

Any special ways you incorporated your family or family history into your wedding day? My grandma had a white bible at her wedding that was an heirloom within her family, so my mom had it in her wedding as well! So I had to incorporated into our wedding to keep the tradition going. I used this white Bible and my detail pictures. It turned out perfectly!

Lacey & Ryan’s romantic wedding in Ft. Smith, Arkansas was the epitome of fall and full of emotion. The couple focused on their beautiful relationship of seven years, from high school sweethearts to husband and wife today!

The bridesmaids dresses from David’s Bridal acted as the full color palette for the wedding, with beautiful fall accents of pinks, rusts, and wines. The groom’s tux Rainwater’s was perfect with the black velvet jacket that added to the beautiful fall day. The bride’s Stella York dress from Danielle’s Bridal was stunning with the 3D floral applique that matched the florals of the day. The ceremony featured a beautiful wooden cross at the altar, adorned with florals designed by the bride’s grandmother. The reception was full of fun and laughter, from the father/daughter choreographed dance to the gorgeous cake and sparkler exit and featured a fun photo booth from NWA Photobooth.

From the bride: I have gotten the chance to dream of my wedding day with Ryan since I was 13! I always dreamed of having an outdoor wedding with teal and rust orange! I spent hours trying to find the exact vibe that I wanted. Once I found the combination light pink, wine, and rust, I fell in love!! Obviously I completely changed my colors! My bridesmaid dresses were the thing I was the most excited about! I decided to have it in October and knew at fall time it would fit PERFECTLY! Everything else decorating-wise just fell into place with the big help from my grandma and mom! They were the absolute best help when it came to the wedding! It will be something that I treasure for the rest of my life!!

How did you two meet? What were your first impressions of one another? We first meet when Ryan’s family started coming to the church that my dad was the youth pastor at- FBC Charleston. I was in 5th grade and Ryan was in 6th. I automatically had a crush on him. Ryan wasn’t interested in girls at this point in his life.

Tell us a funny story relating to your wedding day or relationship! I (Lacey) have been obsessed with Ryan ever since I was in 5th grade. Ryan did not like me really, but I was determined. My mom kept telling me just keep trying and eventually he will come around. She was so right! When I was in 8th grade we finally started hanging out and that’s when it all started!

Describe a hurdle you had to overcome in your relationship or during your wedding planning. Planning for the wedding for me was pretty difficult. My mom and grandma did almost everything. I had the few major things that I wanted in my wedding, a cross at the alter, my bridesmaids dresses, etc,. After that I really did not care what we did as long as it was pretty. So my mom and grandma absolutely hated this because I would never actually make a decision!

What part of your wedding day was/is most important to you? The most important thing to us on our wedding day was to have all of the people that have shaped us into who we are today there with us to celebrate. Being surrounded by all of our friends and loved ones was one of the best feelings, we will cherish this memory forever.

What is the best thing you’ve learned from one another? The greatest thing that I have learned from Ryan so far is how he goes with the flow with everything. He doesn’t hardly ever care what he wants. He has such a giving heart. I strive to be more like him.

I’ve learned that I made the right choice marrying Lace. Being married and living with her has been amazing!

If you had one piece of advice for other couples, what would it be? I would say my advice for other couples would be to make sure that your communicate with your partner. If you are upset, happy, or mad it’s important that you share it with them. This is the best way did you to make your relationship work. Also, make sure that it is someone you can spend every moment with. When you’re married you are with that person all the time. So you want to make sure that it’s the right person!

What is your favorite thing about each other? My favorite thing about Ryan is the way that he takes care of me. He is constantly asking if there is anything that I need him to do. I know I can count on him through anything.

Favorite thing about Lace is she’s always wanting to help people. No matter how busy she is. She always finds time to help others.

What was your favorite part about planning your wedding? The best part of planning the wedding was seeing everything come to life! I have dreamed of this wedding since I was a little girl and seeing everything all out together it was the best!

What is the most honest thing you can say about love? It is one of the best things, once you find it- work hard to keep it!
