Inspired by Nature and Music

Friends, when we saw this shoot come through from Katie Chang, it was not our typical bridal / wedding related feature. But it fit into one of our themes for life, which is that peace is more important than hustle. One of our goals for this publication has always been to grow beyond just weddings, and into lifestyle and family stories. The mission behind The White Wren is one of making time for the things that are the most important in life, focusing on people, families, and those around us. So it makes sense that we would expand further into attracting people who believe in this kind of lifestyle – and not just couples who are getting married and believe that marriage is greater than a perfect wedding day.

So, you might notice that this post has a new category – Lifestyle. Yes, we will be expanding into lifestyle features, with families following shortly after! We are excited to start featuring more stories about life, and inspiring you with encouragement about daily living.

Today, we hope you feel peace while seeing these images. Go listen to some music that really makes your senses at rest, meditate for a few minutes, breathe deeply, and then do something with those that you love the most.

from photographer Katie Chang: “This shoot was originally inspired by my love for classical music. As a classical violinist and photographer, I wanted to design a concept around the combination of the two art forms I love most: music and photography. And with the help of fellow violinist Nikki Naghavi, Erica and Sarah Floral Designs, and Tirzah Lo Calligraphy, each form of art truly came together to create a beautiful and harmonious editorial.”
