from the photographer: “Heather & Clay celebrated their second wedding anniversary in Tuscon, at Windy Point, during a romantic sunset. Their love for each other simply glows and their passion for life is inspiring.
High school sweethearts turn husband and wife! They met when they were fifteen years old at a high school leadership conference in California with 5,000 kids from across the country. Somehow they were both from Iowa.
After a week of fun in California, Clay and Heather dated three years in a long-distance relationship. They both attended undergrad at Iowa State where they enjoyed Greek life. Clay was in TKE and Heather was in Chi Omega. Following undergrad, they dated long distance again while Clay attended medical school at the University of Iowa.
Nearly fifteen years later from when they met in California, Clay and Heather got married at the Montage at Laguna Beach to commemorate where their love story began and to honor their family and friends who were a large part of their journey together.
Now Clay and Heather live in Phoenix Arizona where Clay is a resident at Phoenix Children’s Hospital with the goal of specializing in pediatric oncology and Heather is an event planner with Imoni Events planning luxury weddings. They love living in Arizona and all of the wonderful people they have met there.”
