Weddings are oftentimes a lovely dance of a million talents. It’s incredible how many elements of planning and creativity marry so lovingly to tell of and celebrate a truly beautiful love! Finding the team that will make that day manifest is the brightest of blessings, and the same can be said for vendors themselves. Our next feature is a beautiful testament to the power of community and collaboration—the connection between Asterisk Photography and Noi Tran, and the gorgeous organic wedding inspiration which resulted!

“Earlier this year Noi Tran offered to mentor me one on one. With this mentoring came a styled shoot which was so helpful and fun to be part of. It was my very first styled shoot with a planner, and I absolutely loved it!
…We wanted lots of green, the theme was Fresh Kindness, I believe the venue was a perfect space…it too had a Fresh feel to it, being a new barn with a unique, bright, clean feel.
The vendor list for this shoot was quite the lineup! It was my first time working with a wedding planner on a styled shoot, Whitney did such a great job coordinating and reaching out to each and every vendor. Very excited for this shoot, we had a fun time and most importantly I learned a ton from all the vendors and of course, Noi Tran.”
From Noi Tran:
“One of the most daunting thoughts a lot of budding photographers deal with is building their portfolio to reflect who they are as an artist. I’m totally for shooting anything and everything to know your niche but what I’ve learned over time is that when you’re shooting, is to have a clear purpose. It takes several years maybe more, in my opinion, to develop a style or at least a shooting style that you’re happy with. Style always evolves but your shooting style is what stays consistent.
In my One on One Mentorship Program, my hope is to share my journey and offer as much encouragement as possible to help those needing direction and a little boost to take that step in getting closer to their goal—whatever that may be. Working with Angelina was pure delight! Her eager heart was like a sponge taking in every bit of information I shared and putting things into action. While guiding her in planning her own styled shoot, I watched her bloom in a unique way. My absolute favorite part about the planning process was getting to see all the lovely details Whitney of Whitewood Events put together. The design and planning process certainly could not have happened without Whitewood Events!”
