Fall Wedding Inspiration with a Surprise Proposal

Fall Wedding Inspiration with a Surprise Proposal

How fun is this autumn colorful wedding inspiration? It’s made even more fun by the fact that the editorial shoot featured a real couple (Jenna and Justin) who just so happened to have a surprise proposal at the end of the day! So you’ll want to scroll through alll the pretty to the end to see that genuine reaction! So cute!

from the photographer: “Inspired by the allure of Fall and couples all around the world down-sizing their weddings due to COVID-19, we wanted to bring to life the vision of an intimate, modern, garden wedding in the hills. Whispering Oaks Chapel graciously partnered with Caitlin Alohilani Photography and Just Merried Events to achieve this vision, with their quaint white residence, lush lawn, and large oak trees. The perfect secluded natural setting, about half an hour outside the hustle and bustle of the city of Los Angeles.

Wild and Behold Florals crafted an organic ceremony arch with dried fall leaves and complimentary fresh blooms. The tablescape incorporated similar dried elements in amber and assorted bud vases for a budget friendly option, with pops of color in the dinnerware and candlesticks. Custom acrylic name cards with pressed florals were a DIY friendly option as well. The black denmark wishbone chairs from La Piñata Rentals were the perfect contrast against the white house.

Nomad Cocktail Co. provided the most beautiful fall-inspired cocktails, with Graze by Refined Cravings providing a decadent charcuterie platter for guests to snack on. Beautiful, intricate detail on the cake by Sweet Songbird Bakery complimented the florals perfectly.

Our bride wore Vivienne by renowned Australian designer, Karen Willis Holmes, with veil and hair accessories from Julie Harris Designs. The perfect stackable, modern rings from Everett Fine Jewelry adorned her finger. Kohnur provided a subtle and romantic look for hair and makeup, and our groom looked sleek and handsome as could be in his tux from Friar Tux. Bella Belle Shoes sparkled in flatlay photos, featuring the ever romantic Chasing Stone styling surfaces. Salt Paper Co. crafted a refined invitation suite and vow books for the bride and groom.

The day ended with a real life PROPOSAL between our bride and groom models, Jenna and Justin, who have been dating for over two years. Jenna was thoroughly surprised, and we all looked on in tears as the moment unfolded as the sun set over the hills. It just goes to show, love must and will go on! Despite the insanity of 2020 ;)”
