Joyful Southern Charm Wedding Inspiration

Joyful Southern Charm Wedding Inspiration

We could all use a dash of southern summer now, right? This shoot pairs some traditional southern elements together to create a bright and colorful piece of wedding inspiration that we are in love with. We especially love the resin table markers with citrus inside and the mini charcuterie boards at each place setting – too cute! We can almost feel those warm Texas breezes now … we hope you enjoy and it transports you to one of our favorite places, too!

“Nothing makes our heart skip a beat like the beauty of a gorgeous summer day in the south. And boy, did we need a break from the COVID gloom! When Anastasia (of Anastasia Strate Photography) approached us earlier this year, we knew we’d make the perfect pair for this southern-inspired, joyful, summer shoot! This shoot is loaded with southern charm and we can’t get enough of it! From the sweet, yellow gingham cake (Simply Delicious Custom Cakes) to the personal-sized charcuterie boards (Pink Avocado Catering) we are losing our minds in the details. We love working with local vendors and thinking outside of the box to make the vision come true. We were so honored to partner with Collectible Brooks to feature their stunning collection of authentic, blue chinoiserie vases! This editorial feels like the warm glow of a blooming summer evening. All your missing is mint julep in your hand and a porch swing!” – from Rachel Beck of Event Julep

“I was really inspired by old English, cottage gardens. All the pretyy blooms, buzzing bees, and citrus-infused drinks! I wanted to bring a classic summer to life and show the world that bright colors can be beautiful, elegant, and naturally joyful!

This cake was a dream come true! I wanted an understated, statement piece to really showcase the vibe of this shoot and Candace did such an amazing job at it! I love the pale shade of yellow she chose and the way her gingham pattern makes a perfectly subtle impact!” – Event Julep

“I’ve recently been so obsessed with preserving wedding day elements in clear resin as a small keepsake for our couples. I wanted to incorporate this idea somehow in my design and when it came down to choosing a table number, I thought that was the perfect spot! I thinly sliced lemons, limes, and grapefruit, then dried them, and then encased them in clear resin to create this unique table number!” – Event Julep

“It’s true, everything’s bigger in Texas! And that’s especially true for this table design! When selecting the rentals, I was a little stuck when I reached the final salad plate and thought “This is just kinda…meh”. So I went home, and thought up these mini charcuterie boards and how much fun it would be to include them as part of the tablescape! My great friends at Pink Avocado made miniature masterpieces with them!” – Event Julep
