Erin & Dan’s Napa Wedding

With multiple setbacks this couple faced much adversity but no matter it didn’t stop their beautiful Napa wedding from happening. With the kindness from the winery owners the celebration had the most gorgeous location & with the right vendors their wedding day turned out incredible.

“This beautiful Napa wedding happened during the Napa wildfires and during the pandemic. The sweet bride had to move her venue 3 times the week before the wedding, including the day before due to the wildfires. Prior to that their initial venue had canceled due to covid. Their alternative venues fell through. It just goes to show that with love and the right vendors you can make your wedding day absolutely incredible. The brides family is from Bend and they all met up in Napa where the bride and groom now reside. The groom works for a winery and the owners graciously allowed the bride and groom to get married at the winery owners home. They decided this literally the night before the wedding, because their backup venues were all unavailable due to the wildfires. The bride and groom had their doggies in the wedding and the day ended with the most gorgeous sunset that was seen even through the smoke.” – Jane & Co. Photography

“Blown away by how the smoke and the hot day alluded to such gorgeous lighting. The film captured the day perfectly.” – Jane & Co. Photography

Describe a hurdle you had to overcome in your relationship or during your wedding planning. “Throughout our relationship, we never had the same schedule. Any days off together were rare and cherished. When the pandemic hit, we found ourselves spending every hour of every day together leading up to our wedding. After months of planning and replanning our wedding over and over again, we knew more than ever before that we were meant to be together. Along with our wedding plans and guest list, our wedding venue changed multiple times with the final change occurring just 48 hours before our big day due to the wildfires in Napa Valley. We never gave up and were surrounded by endless support from our incredible family and friends who cheered us on. Miraculously, we were married on our original wedding date and even after all of the sacrifices, tears and unforeseen changes, we wouldn’t have changed a thing. It was a perfect day filled with so much gratitude and love.”

What was your favorite part about planning your wedding? “Even though the pandemic changed all of our original plans, and we no longer had a planner to guide us, it brought us closer together. While the venue and details changed over and over again, and we felt so defeated and at times, robbed, we were able to really discover what truly matters. The meaning behind our day when it finally arrived was more than we could have ever imagined or hoped for. It was the most imperfect perfect day.”

Tell us a funny story relating to your wedding day or relationship! “Erin had two wedding dresses, one for our micro 2020 wedding with family and our wedding party, and the second for our future wedding when we could safely celebrate with all of our family and friends. Well luckily for Erin, both of her dresses were packed together because little did Erin know, she would have a dress change… During dinner, a glass of red wine was spilled down the front and back of Erin’s wedding dress. The whole thing was caught on camera with Erin laughing it off and assuring the wedding guest this was the perfect opportunity to change into her 2nd beloved gown!”

What is your favorite thing about each other? “Erin: Dan brings joy into every aspect of my life. It’s been a very difficult time and yet no matter what happens, I continue to feel full of love and happiness and I know he’s the reason. He’s everything to me and we just enjoy being with one another, whatever it is.
Dan: I love everything about Erin. I really don’t think I can pinpoint one favorite thing about her. I love everything she embodies and most of all, I love us. We’re a team and she’s my best friend. I’m very lucky.”
