Erica & Aaron’s Swipe Right

Erica & Aaron’s swipe right story began just how it sounds, on a dating app that led them both to something special! Their wedding day was nothing short of absolutely beautiful as they took their vows with an ocean view that looked so peaceful. The estate was lovely by itself but paired with the color palette of soft blues, whites, light pink, bountiful floral blooms & the elegant design brought a stunning wedding vision to life!

Erica and Aaron are a case where swiping right turned into meant to be! After finding each other on an app and having a first brunch date in NYC, both of them left knowing that there was something special. Five years later, Aaron took Erica back to their favorite spot in Central Park to pop the question in front of a hot dog stand!

Coming from New England, Erica has always been drawn to history and the ocean. There was no better venue to combine these two things than Misselwood Estate. The elegant, timeless aesthetic the pair aimed to create included touches of gold, cream, white and the perfect light blue hue. Their letterpress invitation suite set the tone for the event, with custom crests and illustrations and the most delicate silk ribbon details. For the walk down the aisle, musicians played “Falling Slowly” from the musical Once, which is Aaron’s favorite musical (he’s seen more than 100 Broadway shows!) At their tented reception, pops of gilded mirrors and etageres, printed linens inspired by the bride’s time at college in New Orleans, and natural candlelight made the night feel magical. -Urban Soiree
