With sweeping bay views, abundant blue hydrangeas, and an intimate guest list of fifty of their closest family and friends, Emma and Hunter’s wedding at Castle Hill Inn embodied everything they hoped their celebration would be—personal, welcoming, and effortlessly beautiful.
Set along the Rhode Island coastline, the day embraced classic New England charm while remaining deeply focused on connection. From a hydrangea-covered ceremony arbor overlooking the water to a cozy coastal reception tent filled with rattan textures and chinoiserie details, every element reflected the couple’s vision for a wedding that felt elegant yet inviting.
Most importantly, it felt like them.
“Having dinner with 50 of our most special friends and family was the best part of the day.”

How did you two meet?
Hunter and I met during COVID while attending college at Western Kentucky University in 2021.
After four wonderful years together, Hunter proposed in September of 2024 while we were traveling through Venice, Italy. It was truly a dream and one of the most unforgettable moments of our lives.

A Wedding Designed Around Intimacy
From the beginning, Emma knew exactly how she wanted her wedding day to feel.
Rather than a large celebration, she envisioned something intimate and relaxed—an experience where guests could settle in, connect, and enjoy the day alongside the couple rather than simply attending it.
That vision came to life through a guest list of fifty beloved family members and friends gathered for an evening that felt more like a beautiful dinner party than a traditional wedding.
“Having dinner with 50 of our most special friends and family was the best part of the day.”

Private Vows Over Breakfast
One of the most meaningful moments happened long before the ceremony began.
Emma and Hunter chose to exchange their vows privately during an intimate breakfast together on the morning of their wedding. Away from the crowd and the anticipation of the day, they were able to focus entirely on one another and the promises they were making.
It set the tone for everything that followed—intentional, personal, and deeply connected.

A Ceremony Framed by Hydrangeas and the Bay
The ceremony space was everything Emma had envisioned.
A breathtaking arbor overflowing with hydrangeas framed the stunning bay views beyond, creating an unmistakably coastal backdrop for their vows. Officiated by one of their closest friends, the ceremony felt warm, personal, and filled with stories and memories that reflected their relationship.
Rather than rushing from one event to the next, Emma and Hunter also made it a priority to fully experience cocktail hour alongside their guests—sharing appetizers, drinks, and conversations with the people they love most.

Coastal Details Under the Tent
While the ceremony location was unforgettable, the reception design may have been Emma’s favorite part of the planning process.
Beneath a beautifully styled tent, layers of coastal textures transformed the space into a warm and inviting gathering place. Rattan accents, chinoiserie vases overflowing with hydrangeas, and thoughtful details created an atmosphere that felt sophisticated without losing its relaxed coastal charm.
The result was a reception that perfectly reflected the couple’s desire for a cozy, welcoming celebration.

What was your favorite part about planning your wedding?
“First and foremost, the details from the wedding ceremony. The beautiful arbor covered in hydrangeas, along with the stunning bay view, was the perfect spot for Hunter and I to get married.
Secondly, the details of everything underneath the coastal tent was everything I envisioned. From the rattan decor to the beautiful hydrangeas in the chinoiserie vases, the tent had the most welcoming and cozy atmosphere.”
If you had one piece of advice for other couples, what would it be?
All the hard work truly pays off in the end.
