Discovering the right photographer for your nuptials is such an incredible blessing! They are the instrument which wanders the lovely corners of your existence, preserving this wonderful season of life for generations to cherish thereafter. They capture moments on a thread and finesse them into a collective sigh of memory—they are the archivists. To find them is to find a certain counterpart, and Theresa & Phillip found theirs in the lovely Faith Teasley!
From the bride, Theresa:
“Phillip and I grew up down the street from one another in the small town of New Market, Maryland. We both walked to the same elementary school as little kids, rode the same bus to middle school, and even swam for the same competitive swim team for a number of years. We had crossed paths our whole lives, but it wasn’t until my freshmen year and his sophomore year of high school that we became best friends on the back of the school bus. Phillip had always been a fairly shy of a guy, but I quickly discovered during our conversations on the back of that bus just how wonderfully funny, kind, and fun-loving he is. On July 21st of 2010 we officially started dating and I knew right from the start that this was something very special. Over the next 6 years we had the amazing experience of growing up and supporting each other through so many major points in our lives. We went to every single school dance together, we were there in the stands for each other at both high school and college graduations, supported one another’s goals and dreams while we went to school at different universities, and celebrated the starts of both our new careers. All the many firsts we got to experience together has made our bond unbreakable and I am so blessed to have had the opportunity to watch him blossom into the man he is today. And after all these years I can honestly say that I fall in love with Phillip more every single day and there is no one else I would rather continue growing through life with than the greatest friend I have ever had.”
“During our post-graduation hiking trip in Colorado this last May, Phillip proposed at a beautiful lake at the base of the Maroon Bells in Aspen, Colorado. Our anniversary date held a lot of sentimental value for both of us, so the first decision of our wedding planning was to have the date be on Friday July, 21st of 2017. We chose to have our destination wedding down in Bald Head Island, North Carolina after falling in love with the island’s quaint maritime and picturesque nature on vacation with my family a couple years back. The ceremony will be held at the charming Bald Head Island Chapel with an intimate reception with family and close friends taking place right next store at the island’s association building with views of the island’s nature preserve.”
“One of my top priorities for our wedding was to find a talented film photographer who had experience shooting weddings on Bald Head Island. During my initial search of film photographers, I stumbled across the most beautiful, soft and light image of the Bald Head Island Chapel. That image led me to find Faith Teasley on Instagram. I knew as soon as I saw her portfolio that she would be the perfect photographer for our wedding. Faith has been so personable, positive, and professional during all correspondences with her. Phillip and I had not put much thought into doing an engagement photo shoot initially, but came to realize after my conversation with Faith that it would be a great opportunity for us to meet Faith and experience being photographed, along with taking pictures on the island at places we might not go to on our big day. Faith made our engagement session more fun and comfortable than I could have ever imagined! Her expertise of shooting on the island allowed us to have photographs taken at the most picturesque locations all over the island. Spending the day driving around the entire island by golf cart to find the perfect spots was an absolute blast with her. Our engagement session with Faith has by far been our best memory so far during these past wedding planning months, which has made Phillip and I even that much more excited for our wedding day! The photographs Faith sent to us blew all our expectations out the window. All the of the pictures in our gallery are beyond perfect that we [had] trouble picking our favorites to use for our save the dates! Along with choosing to have our wedding on our seven year anniversary at Bald Head Island, hiring Faith Teasley as our wedding photographer has been the best decision we have made during this special time in our lives. We would strongly recommend Faith to any couple looking for an remarkably talented, personable, and passionate film photographer.”
