Carrie & Justin’s wedding at Lowndes Grove was a beautiful day on the edge of one of South Carolina’s river marshes. They chose to have an intimate celebration with their closest family and friends with unique touches, such as hanging lights that made the al fresco reception even more captivating!
Carrie + Justin wanted to accentuate the beautiful trees at the venue, so we added cafe lights dripping down and across the trees and to the house. This created a stunning display for guests to gather around during the day and dance under in the night time! The bride wanted her wedding to be filled with pretty lavender and blush hues, and lots of flowers. The two had already tied the knot privately earlier in the year due to COVID, and this postponed reception was kept intimate as well – about 60 guests. Of those guests included their children, who kept everyone smiling and laughing throughout the whole day. To honor their mothers, C + J had their two oldest children present a rose to each of the mothers before dinner began. They knew they would have a good mix of dancers and non-dancers in attendance, so it was important to have some pretty lounge furniture pieces set up close to the action on the dance floor! -Suterland Weddings for Chancey Charm Photographer: Julie Livingston
