Bright and Airy Maternity Session

Bright and Airy Maternity Session

A sweet session celebrating the new beginning of life .. together at home.

What’s your favorite family pastime together?

As a family we like to spend time outdoors, we like going for walks, play at the park, go eat ice cream to downtown. We try to keep the kids away from electronics and have them enjoy nature, they both love water so lately getting wet has been their thing.

Any lessons you learned as a family through the last year?

We learned that being part of a family isn’t just about raising and loving one and another it’s a about cherishing one and another’s thoughts, feelings and pushing each other to do better in life.

Tell us a fun or silly story that happened to your family recently!

We went to a festival and while we were in line waiting for our turn at the ride, my daughter asked for water so I went to buy some while my husband and her stayed in line waiting. I was carrying the baby in a baby carrier up front and the line was a little busy so we were waiting while there happened to be a little girl in front of us but didn’t pay so much attention, baby was happy kicking and I was looking my husbands way making sure we weren’t missing the turn. When out of nowhere I heard a scream, I got scared and concerned and looked back at the baby and to my surprise he had grabbed the little girl by the hair and he didn’t wanted to let go. I immediately apologized to the girl and her mom but couldn’t avoid to laugh, gotta be more careful with those fast baby hands because he grabs everything.

What does family mean to you?

Family is a foundation that is built by unconditional love and support, no matter the circumstances. A family wants to see one and another grow and flourish in this world. Showing that each and one of us are valued at the highest stake.

What have you recently done to put family as a major focus in your life?

Family has always been a huge focus point for us. While still having to work, our priority is to love our kids equally. But a major one would be having a second child at the same time we’re prepping our first to go to school. Teaching the ABC’s and Numbers hasn’t been an easy road.

What are the best things you’ve learned from each other?

As high school lovers we discovered that we are imperfect beings and that one another has the pieces that were missing to complete each other. Growing up together, learning together and starting from not speaking each other’s language never stopped us from keep going. Today almost six years later we both speak each others native language, English and Spanish.

If you had one piece of advice for other families, what would it be?

To live and love your lives presently and keep on creating memories to hear and spread in the future.
