Brie & Dylan’s Amalfi Coast Wedding at Villa La Rondinaia – A Multi-Day Italian Celebration Inspired by La Dolce Vita

Perched high above the cliffs of Amalfi Coast at Villa La Rondinaia, Brie and Dylan’s wedding weekend unfolded like a cinematic love letter to Italy. Across multiple days of celebration, the couple blended timeless white florals, meaningful nods to Dylan’s Italian heritage, and breathtaking coastal scenery into an experience that felt deeply personal and unmistakably Amalfi.

From arriving at their welcome dinner aboard a vintage Lambretta to dancing the Tarantella beneath the stars, every detail carried a sense of warmth, joy, and effortless romance. Candlelit dinners overlooked the sea, champagne flowed freely, and the celebration culminated in a fireworks-lit mille-feuille cake cutting that felt straight out of an Italian film.

And as if the week couldn’t feel more cinematic, the festivities ended with a Slim Aarons–inspired pool recovery party—complete with Aperol spritzes, striped floats, and live saxophone drifting through the air.

“Love doesn’t make life easier—it makes it richer, deeper, and infinitely more meaningful.”

How did you two meet? What were your first impressions of one another?

We met in a very modern way—Dylan added me on Instagram after a mutual friend mentioned my name. After seeing my stories of me making homemade pizzas, he messaged to ask if I was Italian, and we instantly got chatting.

Not long after, he asked me out for dinner and drinks—my very first blind date—and we completely hit it off.

I remember thinking he was kind, well-dressed, and effortlessly charming, while his first impression of me was that I was “cute” with “good energy.”

Describe a hurdle you had to overcome in your relationship or during your wedding planning.

Planning a wedding on the Amalfi Coast while living in Melbourne meant we were doing nearly everything from afar, which definitely came with challenges.

After visiting Villa La Rondinaia and instantly falling in love with it, we formed an incredibly close bond with the villa’s event manager, Judith. She became such a meaningful part of the process for us. Tragically, she passed away suddenly just months before the wedding, which was heartbreaking for everyone who knew her.

During that time, Dylan and I leaned heavily on one another and on the incredible support of the villa staff and our planner, Laura from Weddings Of Desire. Their care, calmness, and support carried us through the rest of the planning process, and we’ll always be grateful for that.

Any special ways you incorporated your family or family history into your wedding day?

Dylan’s mum is Italian, so getting married on the Amalfi Coast felt like a beautiful way to honor his heritage.

Having his Italian relatives there to celebrate made the experience even more meaningful, and we incorporated the language into the ceremony itself—both ending our vows in Italian as a personal tribute to family and culture.

Family was at the center of everything. Siblings and in-laws stood beside us in the bridal party, while our page boys and flower girl made the day feel even more intimate and full of love.

What was your favorite part about planning your wedding?

One of our favorite parts was truly doing it together.

Every decision was shared, which made planning a multi-day destination wedding feel less overwhelming and far more meaningful. We loved collaborating on every detail and creating something that reflected both of us.

For me, the dress journey was especially memorable. Shopping with my mum and sister and watching the gowns come to life with the team at Mariana Hardwick felt surreal.

And surprisingly, dance lessons became one of the most special parts of the lead-up. We worked with a choreographer on our first dance to At Last by Etta James, complete with lifts and dips. Learning it together ended up becoming one of our favorite memories.

If you had one piece of advice for other couples, what would it be?

Plan your wedding in a way that feels true to the two of you.

Trends will come and go, but what matters most is creating something that reflects your relationship and the people you love most.

And on the day itself, carve out quiet moments together. Everything moves so quickly, and those small pauses help you truly absorb how meaningful it all is.

What is the most honest thing you can say about love?

Love is incredible, but it isn’t effortless.

It doesn’t necessarily make life easier—it makes it richer. It asks for patience, honesty, and the willingness to keep choosing each other, even on difficult days.

But in return, it gives you something rare and beautiful: the feeling of being deeply known and deeply loved.
