An Italian Garden Party Inspired Wedding

An Italian Garden Party Inspired Wedding

The lush garden party style of this wedding is so enchanting! Punctuated by the vintage car and the scenic vistas, it really does feel like being transported to an exotic destination.

from the planner: “Samantha and Cole’s fine art, Italian-inspired wedding at CC Bloom Flower Farm in Armstrong, BC, is a breathtaking fusion of elegance and natural beauty. Surrounded by the lush, sprawling flower fields, the couple’s celebration draws inspiration from the timeless romance of Tuscany, with a palette of soft pastels, delicate florals, and rich greenery. Guests were surrounded by a sea of hydrangeas. Their view framed by the rolling hills and golden hues of the late afternoon sun, lending a dreamy, cinematic quality to the vows exchanged in the heart of nature.

Following the ceremony, an al fresco reception unfolds on the farm’s grounds, where a long, flower filled table was set beneath a canopy of twinkling string lights. The tablescapes feature antique gold accents, fine Italian linens, and centerpieces bursting with freshly picked blooms from the farm. Guests indulge in a farm-to-table feast, savoring artisanal breads, olive oil, and seasonal dishes that evoke the flavors of Italy. As the evening progresses, the warm glow of candlelight and complimentary affogato bar set the tone for an intimate, joyful celebration that perfectly blends the elegance of fine art weddings with the rustic charm of the Italian countryside.”

How did you two meet? What were your first impressions of one another?
We graduated high school together but didn’t connect until a few years later at a mutual friends wedding.

Tell us a funny story relating to your wedding day or relationship!
We started dating at the beginning of COVID. We got to go on one date before lock down. Both of us, and our families work in health care so we were extra careful at the time, we started meeting for dog walks. Soon enough we were going on 2-3 dog walks a day… then about a month later we decide to move in together.

Describe a hurdle you had to overcome in your relationship or during your wedding planning.
We planned our wedding in 6 months which was challenging but the venue and photographer lined up perfectly and from there the planning begun!

Any special ways you incorporated your family or family history into your wedding day?
We incorporated many items from my grandmothers wedding which her daughters also used in their wedding. Including a gold bell, and serving dishes. My grandmother was unable to attend but it felt like she was there in spirit.

What part of your wedding day was/is most important to you?
Private vows which we shared the morning of the wedding over breakfast. It helped set our intentions and mood for the day. The day flies by and is full of love from family and friends so we wanted to ensure we started and ended it together.

What is the best thing you’ve learned from one another?
Cole has taught me incredible strength and how much hard works pays off.

Samantha has taught me to slow down and the importance of taking care of my health.

What is your favorite thing about each other?
My favourite thing about Samantha is her sense of humour. I never have to question how she feels about me. I know she’s going to be an incredible mother.

My favourite thing about Cole is how positive he is. He’s a constant source of happiness and grounding in my life.

What was your favorite part about planning your wedding?
We booked our venue sight unseen so we made a trip to the Okanagan about a month prior and met our photographer for engagement photos. We visited the venue, went wine and cake tasting! We had cocktails with the wedding planner and saw everything coming together.

If you had one piece of advice for other couples, what would it be?
To remember to laugh together and find fun in the mundane of every day. To practice patience and gratitude with one another. And choose each other every day.

What is the most honest thing you can say about love?
Everyone says love is hard but choosing each other everyday is one of the easiest decisions we’ve made.
