from the photographer: “We started walking up the trail with Beau and Lou as other hikers came down. They warned us about the tall mustard flowers, which after all the rain we had been getting, were twice the size as they usually were. We laughed as we continued hiking straight into them. Beau hoisted Lou onto her shoulders as Lou reached for the yellow buds. As we made our way down the trail we found a gorgeous creek. Beau waded into the water with Lou and the sun came out from behind the clouds. Beau tipped her chin into the sun as Lou cooed. We felt so honored to be able to capture this dynamic duo.”
