A Luxe Miami Celebration with Bold Glamour: Emily & Michael

Emily and Michael’s Villa Toscana Miami wedding was a masterclass in bold, luxe design and unforgettable personal touches. From the very first look to their reception fashion, their day embodied modern glamour layered with meaningful details and heartfelt moments.

One of the most touching parts of their story is that Emily and Michael privately exchanged vows in a secret elopement a week before their wedding day. It gave them an intimate moment that felt purely theirs, while their grand celebration allowed them to honor family, dance the night away, and showcase Emily’s multiple stunning looks—from Mira Zwillinger to Berta.

For the couple, every second of the day was cherished: from getting ready to their first dance, to honoring lost loved ones in subtle details woven throughout. Their wedding style was vibrant, fashion-forward, and endlessly joyful—a perfect reflection of their love story that began back in 2012.

Check out their VHS wedding film below!

“From a secret elopement to four incredible bridal looks, every part of Emily and Michael’s day was bold, stylish, and full of heart.”

How did you two meet? What were your first impressions of one another?

Michael & I met back in 2012 through mutual friends! From the very beginning I knew he was the man I was going to marry.

Michael thought Emily was very quiet, but that changed quickly.

Emily thought Michael was so cool, handsome, and very smart.

Tell us a funny story relating to your wedding day or relationship!

Not very many people know this, but Michael and I secretly eloped with our officiant about a week before our wedding so we could exchange our vows privately and have an intimate moment to celebrate our love and marriage. If anyone is thinking about doing that, I 100/10 recommend it!

Describe a hurdle you had to overcome in your relationship or during your wedding planning.

Being together for over 12 years now, there have been many hurdles we’ve had to overcome together. Through all the challenges we have grown together and become who we are today. We are so grateful to be doing life together and to get through the difficult moments side by side.

Any special ways you incorporated your family or family history into your wedding day?

Something very important for us to incorporate in our wedding was the small details to honor our lost loved ones who couldn’t be with us physically on that day.

What part of your wedding day was most important to you?

Ahhh this is a hard one! It was all important. Every second of that day was so perfect and forever cherished. From getting ready to walking down the aisle, to our first dance and partying the night away—it was all such a dream!

One thing I had a lot of fun with was my dresses and outfits! The bridal fashion absolutely captivated me, so I had to have something different for getting ready, the ceremony, first dance, and reception.

What is the best thing you’ve learned from one another?

We have learned so much from each other and together! I would say patience and communication. Having patience with each other and life circumstances, as well as keeping open communication with each other, is key.

What is your favorite thing about each other?

Everything!!

Michael loves how funny, creative, and loving Emily is.

Emily loves how patient, kind, and supportive Michael is.

What was your favorite part about planning your wedding?

The whole thing! I had so much fun planning our wedding. Bringing our vision to life was so cool to see unfold—from the venue to the food to the vibe to the outfits. It was all amazing!

One thing I really made sure to do was let my inner child come out when planning.

If you had one piece of advice for other couples, what would it be?

Find time to be present together every day, even if it’s just for 5 minutes. Take the time to look each other in the eye or give an extra kiss before work. It all really adds up in the small day-to-day moments.

What is the most honest thing you can say about love?

Love is the most beautiful thing to experience, but it takes work. It doesn’t come easy, but it is surely worth every second of it!
