Wisteria Inspired Wedding

We love this beautiful and simply inspired wedding inspiration – and especially that bridal gown! With lots of lovely lace details and lush florals, this setting is sure to delight and inspire you as a bride if you are looking for a floral or organically inspired wedding layout.

from the planner: “This intimate wedding inspiration shoot was inspired by blooming wisteria in Paris in the spring. The goal of this shoot is to inspire couples who may have hoped to have a destination wedding to stay true to their plans to exchange their vows now. It might not be possible to go abroad for the dream destination wedding in the near term, but it is possible to create the dream intimate wedding right here at home at the right venue with breath-taking European influenced details and a touch of luxury. An intimate wedding is just as meaningful and beautiful, perhaps more stunning with the additional resources focusing on an intimate ceremony backdrop and tablescape for now.

This editorial was photographed by Vasia Photography at the Vancouver Club, a heritage building exhibiting Edwardian era architecture established in 1914. The ceremony and intimate dinner took place in the Georgian Room displaying high vaulted ceilings and original gilded molding, bringing that European feel to the whole wedding experience.

The bride started off the day with getting ready and boudoir photos before slipping into her long sleeved ceremony gown by Daalarna Couture.

Myrtle et Olive Floral & Event Design created a ceremony backdrop inspired by blooming wisteria in Paris. The organic structure with twining vines and scented flowers transported us to the city of light when wisterias bloom throughout Montmartre in late spring. The bride’s bouquet incorporated vines and blooms from the arch and was wrapped with her favorite silk twilly from Christian Dior to make it extra special.

The bride changed her attire and hairstyle for the evening. The gown also by Daalarna Couture featured a plunging semi-sheer bodice and chiffon bottom for a more relaxed look for the rest of the evening.

The night continued with an intimate candlelit dinner with immediate family at a long table dressed in taupe velvet linens. Each table setting flaunted a set of Medusa Gala serveware by Versace Home to bring a touch of gold baroque detail and luxury to the tablescape.

To conclude the evening on a perfectly sweet note, each guest enjoyed a piece of the petite cake crafted by Cake by Nicole, an elegant all white two-tiered buttercream cake adorned with delicate wafer paper flowers inspired by the floral appliques on the bride’s long sleeved ceremony gown.

Written Word Calligraphy created an elegant stationary suite featuring a monogram in calligraphy and envelope liner with hand-painted baroque illustrations to go with the gold ornate details on the charger plates.

We hope this editorial can inspire couples to stay true to their plans to exchange their vows and start the next chapter of “happily ever after” now.”
