We absolutely adore flowers, and our readers do to! In fact, one of the most popular posts we had on social media this month was of flowers. When Sara Weir sent over these photos that she took from a floral workshop hosted by Potted Pansy, we knew we wanted to feature them in some way. We always love a chance to promote color, organic displays, and the feeling of creating something meaningful – so these are a perfect fit.
from Mandy Ogaz of Potted Pansy: “Fire. We are fascinated by it in a beautiful sort of way. The way the flames dance and jump through each other and across the logs, creating pattern and color and vibrancy with it. The way the coloring changes from blue to yellow to orange as the intensity of heat varies. The way the heat and air pressure, combined with any moisture create cracks and pops as air is released. It’s the sounds, the sights, the warmth of childhood and laughter and camping and the mountains. It’s the feeling of calm and completeness with a tinge of surprise and suspense. And it’s the meaning behind a group of women gathering together floral designers to ignite their own fire within.
There’s a spark that comes from the power of tapping into your heart, your passion, your past. A spark that is kindled when you create with the medium that feeds your soul. A spark that burns bright into a flame when fanned by other sparks that feel the same way.
And at the Ignite the Fire workshop, that is exactly what happened. Igniting the fire both within us and through our learning of technique, style, business, and tips, we fueled a fire that will long burn and extend through the US and Canada as attendees travel back home to share their fire within.”
