Southern weddings have a rather specific vibe, and many things that are typically seen at one in the decor. Monograms are one thing that are quintessentially southern, and in this inspiration shoot, it was the thing that brought everything together as the creative team had a custom design made that appeared in everything from the cake to the marble charcuterie board. Set on a mountaintop in Tennessee, it brings together many traditionally southern elements in a setting that will have you yearning for the Volunteer State!
from the designer: “We have been doing weddings in Sewanee and noticed that many of the couples had deep ties to the area. They either went to school at The University of the South (AKA Hogwarts) or they live and play in Sewanee. We wanted to throw a modern spin on the traditional southern monogram. We added textures and colors that we thought would appeal to the modern yet southern/traditional bride. We had a custom monogram made and used it throughout the design: the invites, the menu cards, the cake, the cookies and even the cutting board for a charcuterie platter.”
