Sneha and Joel’s Denver wedding was a vibrant celebration of love, family, and tradition. As a South Indian Catholic couple, they thoughtfully blended their heritage with modern elegance, hosting 250 guests for a day filled with heartfelt moments and joyful energy. Their ceremony took place at the stunning Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church, followed by an unforgettable reception at the Hilton Denver Inverness, where traditional Indian dances, emotional speeches, and not one, but three breathtaking outfit changes wowed their guests.
From honoring their parents’ and grandparents’ lifelong commitments to marriage, to Sneha’s cherished moment walking down the aisle with her grandfather, the day was rich with meaningful details. The reception was a true reflection of their personalities—vibrant, elegant, and full of life—while their love story, which started over long-distance Instagram messages, was celebrated with laughter, dancing, and the warmth of their closest family and friends.
How did you two meet? What were your first impressions of one another?
We met on Instagram in college and hit it off instantly. Joel was in Colorado at the time and Sneha was in North Carolina, so we started doing long distance while balancing work and school. It felt like we had known each other our entire lives and we quickly became best friends.
Joel- My first impression of Sneha was that she was beautiful and had very pretty eyes. I found her to be very grounded and caring.
Sneha- My first impression of Joel was that he was very good looking and is very family-oriented, going out of his way for the people he loves.
Any special ways you incorporated your family or family history into your wedding day?
We incorporated our family a lot into our wedding. Sneha had her Grandfather walk down the aisle inland also give a speech, which was very special for her. We also had a table set up with pictures of our parents and grandparents to honor their lifelong commitment to each other and marriage.
What is your favorite thing about each other?
Sneha- my favorite thing about Joel is his quiet strength and his caring nature. He cares about my well-being in various different ways and always looks out for me. He is my rock if I’m ever anxious or scared about anything and he is someone I know will always be in my corner. We both value partnership in our marriage and Joel goes out of his way to make my life easier in every aspect. From planning most of our wedding, being the most involved in building our house, and just simple things like household chores, he puts in 110% effort before I can even think about starting the task. I can definitely say my life is much easier with Joel around and now I don’t know how I ever lived without him.
Joel- my favorite thing about Sneha is her big heart and her ability to make the mundane parts of life enjoyable. She often reminds me of how short life is and how we have to enjoy each day and cherish every bit of life. She makes me laugh often with her dry humor and random singing and she brings me immense peace and comfort. She cares deeply for me and her family, from checking our locations every minute to being our go-to person for everything, she prioritizes the people she loves.
If you had one piece of advice for other couples, what would it be?
One piece of advice is to find someone that you can be best friends with. The best marriages have a solid foundation of friendship and you have to truly enjoy someone’s company before anything else. You will be spending every day and the rest of your lives with this person, so it’s important to find someone that you genuinely enjoy being around. Marriage is fun when you genuinely look forward to coming home from work so that you can hang out with your partner!
What is the most honest thing you can say about love?
Love is knowing that someone will always be in your corner and love you for you, even with all of the flaws that come with being a human. It includes communication, shared values, and a commitment to cherishing the person you love for the rest of your life.
