Let me tell you a story about a girl, her guitar, and a promise.
I was young and searching for love. What I thought was – if I kept looking, I’ll find the right person. But date after date, something didn’t seem to connect/jive. Fed up, I made a promise to myself. I’m going to forget about this whole searching for a soulmate thing, instead, I’m going to do some soul searching. So I followed my passion. I picked up my guitar, sat in my studio and started to play music again. I started to write again. Eventually I even got the courage to perform again. Show after show, I put myself out there for the world to hear. And in comes Him.
He tells me later he fell in love at first sight because he saw me in my element. It took me focusing on myself and nurturing my passion, for someone to see me for who I really am and love me in return.
It is through that guitar that led to his promise that we will always make music together. – Ivory & Gold
