Influenced by fall tones, bohemian aesthetic and bright beautiful photography, this multiracial couple with earth toned wedding inspiration was born. The color palette being of true autumn colors, a mixture of yellows, peaches, ivory and pinks it brought everything together in a seamless way. The outcome of this editorial is so striking because normally this aesthetic is paired with a more moody style of photography but seeing it captured on film in a bright true to life way is just lovely!

Tiffani of Moon Child Events and I have always wanted to do a shoot together. So we thought we would plan something that represented her bohemian planning aesthetic, mixed with my light romantic photography.  We liked the idea of yellows and oranges for fall, so we found the beautiful King Family Vineyards in between the mountains of Virginia where we thought the changing trees in the background would add to our fall theme. Unfortunately for us by Mid-October the trees weren’t ready to change yet, but the venue views were still perfect for our shoot.

When our lovely makeup artist, Jensen, heard we wanted to feature a real life couple she offered to do it with her boyfriend (almost fiancé). Jensen’s boyfriend Nate, who is a police officer in VA, was a trooper when it came to this shoot. He knew we wanted a soft mustard yellow sports coat/tux jacket to be featured, and when he heard that the suit company had backed out on the shoot last minute, he went searching for a jacket himself. The day of the shoot, he came through after finding out a friends’ dad had the perfect color sports jacket to fit our vision.

Sparks Vintage from Nashville supplied us with the pillows and our wicker tables to add to our bohemian theme. Meanwhile, Tiffani & I, who are both fans of Hayley Paige, were determined to feature one of her dresses and her Hearts on Fire Jewelry line. We knew they would be the perfect touch of romance we needed.  Our florals from Winchester Floral and Trader Joes brought in a light and romantic feel of yellows, peaches and pinks, tying it in with our Cake from Brick Wall Cakes as well as our rugs from the Theatre Shenandoah. While we dealt with 20+ mile an hour winds during the shoot, somehow it just added to the beauty of the shoot. – Hunter Berry
