Laura & Jack’s Timeless Coastal Wedding at The Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island

Laura and Jack’s wedding day was a refined coastal celebration that blended modern sophistication with classic romance, all set against the serene oceanfront backdrop of The Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island. Neutral tones, organic florals, and soft coastal light framed the day with an effortless elegance, while subtle pearl details added layers of understated glamour throughout the design.

Rooted in connection and intention, the celebration reflected Laura and Jack’s shared belief in partnership and communication. From a ceremony overlooking the water to a joyful reception filled with dancing and laughter, the day felt both elevated and deeply personal. With the support of a trusted vendor team and the presence of their closest family and friends, the couple created a celebration that felt timeless, relaxed, and unmistakably true to who they are.

“Don’t stress the little things — remember you’re there to celebrate marrying your person.”

How did you two meet? What were your first impressions of one another?
We met in middle school and were friends throughout high school. We would see each other here and there throughout college through mutual friends and would reconnect immediately, like we never lost touch. After college, we both were working on Christmas and Jack ended up bringing a patient to the hospital I was working at. We didn’t stop talking since and Jack finally asked me on a date.

Tell us a funny story relating to your wedding day or relationship!
When they set up the microphone for our officiant they pretty much put him in the ocean — assuming to try and get him out of the pictures. He was so far away from everyone he said all the nerves he had disappeared because he realized no one could even see him. Eventually someone moved him closer but we all laugh about it now.

Describe a hurdle you had to overcome in your relationship or during your wedding planning.
A big hurdle we had to overcome during wedding planning was our original wedding venue cancelled on us a couple months before our wedding. Instead of arguing and being stressed, Jack and I communicated all the possibilities and routes we could go after learning this news. We worked together and ended up having a better wedding than we originally planned.

Any special ways you incorporated your family or family history into your wedding day?
We included our dog, Finn, on our cocktail napkins. We included my cousin as our officiant.

What part of your wedding day was/is most important to you?
Having all of our closest family and friends surrounding us on our important day. Plus having everyone dance floor 🙂

What is the best thing you’ve learned from one another?
Communication is key. Any small argument we end up laughing about it when we clearly communicate with each other.

What is your favorite thing about each other?
How we both cherish spending any little time together. When we’re doing something we don’t love, like running errands, grocery shopping, etc., it makes it that much better when we do it together.

What was your favorite part about planning your wedding?
Having the support from each other throughout and finding an amazing team of vendors to not have to worry about A THING!

If you had one piece of advice for other couples, what would it be?
I know cliche — but don’t stress the little things. I was torn about making decisions on the smallest things that ultimately didn’t matter or no one even noticed. Don’t forget about the main reason you’re having a wedding — to celebrate marrying your person.

What is the most honest thing you can say about love?
Love can be felt differently by everyone but it bonds us all the same. — Jack
