Hannah-Rose and Caelan’s love story began at a dude ranch in Colorado’s Pike National Forest, where a strict no-dating policy meant their relationship had plenty of time to grow through friendship first.
For six seasons, Caelan worked as the ranch foreman while Hannah-Rose managed the dining team. After leaving the ranch and moving to Colorado Springs, they finally began dating – and once they did, everything moved quickly. Six months later, they were engaged, and six months after that, they gathered their loved ones for a joyful Sunday morning wedding at The Manor House.
Inspired by golden morning light, garden textures, and their shared love of breakfast, the couple chose a brunch celebration that felt thoughtful, welcoming, and completely true to them. Yellow chiffon bridesmaid dresses echoed the autumn landscape, while wildflower-inspired arrangements brought softness and color to the ceremony.
A string quartet played music from some of their favorite films, including Pride and Prejudice, Little Women, and Far from the Madding Crowd, creating a romantic atmosphere that felt cinematic without losing its warmth.
Every guest received a handwritten letter, thoughtfully incorporated into the seating chart, and was invited to choose a book from the couple’s curated bookshelf to take home. Brunch featured chicken and waffles, smoked salmon, baked goods, and a full dessert display before the newlyweds made their exit by horse-drawn carriage.
The result was a wedding centered not only on the couple’s story, but on gratitude, community, and the people who had carried them into this new chapter.

How did you two meet? What were your first impressions of one another?
We both met at a dude ranch in 2021 up in the Pike National Forest in Colorado! We were both on staff, but there was a no-dating policy.
Caelan was the foreman, so he was a proper cowboy. Hannah-Rose managed the dining team.
We worked together for six seasons before leaving the ranch and moving to Colorado Springs to start dating. That was at the end of 2024. We got engaged six months later in May 2025 and got married six months after that in October 2025!
Our proposal happened in Georgia. Hannah-Rose’s family lives there, and we were visiting for her sister’s graduation. Most of Hannah-Rose’s college friends are in Georgia, so Caelan planned a really fun surprise engagement party with her community.
Any special ways you incorporated your family or family history into your wedding day?
Hannah-Rose is from South Africa, and Caelan is from Texas, so a lot of the wedding planning involved coordinating traditions from both cultures.
Hannah-Rose’s grandmother brought South African pearl earrings for the bride and bridesmaids. That was a really special touch.
We also had her South African grandmother pray over the meal. Our pastor officiated the ceremony, and we had our family and friends gather around us during the ceremony to pray too. That was really special.
What part of your wedding day was most important to you?
We had handwritten letters for all our guests that we used as a seating chart.
We both love letters and writing, and we wanted personalized touches for the guests. Although it took a while to write all the letters, it was so worth it because we are so thankful for our community, and this gave us the chance to thank them personally.
Additionally, we created a bookshelf with all our favorite books so guests could leave with one. Caelan and I read a lot of books together, so that felt like another personalized design element that was symbolic of our dating journey.
What was your favorite part about planning your wedding?
We were very inspired by morning light, yellow, and garden elements.
We decided to have a brunch wedding because we love breakfast, and the thought of all our people gathering on a Sunday morning was precious to us.
We love Pride and Prejudice, so we hired a string quartet for the whole wedding and spent a lot of time working on their set list. We included movie scores from Pride and Prejudice, Little Women, Far from the Madding Crowd, and some of our other favorite films.
If you had one piece of advice for other couples, what would it be?
We had a six-month engagement, and it all came together perfectly – it will come together no matter your timeline!
Although your wedding day is ultimately about you, we really wanted to honor our guests since they traveled from far and wide. The personal touches with the letters and books did take longer, but they were so incredibly memorable for the guests and made them feel seen, even if we hadn’t personally gotten to hug them during the day.
Also, don’t be afraid to be specific and unusual with your requests. Brunch weddings are not as common, but it was so perfect and dreamlike for us!
