Evening Light Boudoir Inspiration

There’s something about light that moves us. Photographs really are, just light and shadow. Without one or the other, there’s not much color … life becomes rather flat and boring. But light and shadow has the ability to bring emotion and feeling to a scene – to transfix the way we view our surroundings. This boudoir inspiration was brought about by an observation of light … of sunsets … of the way shadows flickered as the sun fell.

from the designer – “When moving to Sausalito, CA from San Diego in January I was overwhelmed with inspiration. We moved into a one bedroom that overlooked Belvedere and the harbor- It was breath taking. Every night when my fiancé got home we would sit on our deck and sip wine together watching the sunset. I find I get most of my inspiration around this time due to the lighting. One night while sitting out there the sun was bouncing off the hills and I couldn’t take it any longer. I needed to find a venue across the way to photograph. After grabbing my computer and finding the Lyford House- I knew some magic was going to happen.”
