Tell us a funny story relating to your wedding day or relationship!
Proposal Story – Gabriel surprised me on a snowmobiling trip in Aspen! We were sharing a snowmobile and he had the ring in his pocket the whole time. Risky but it all worked out beautifully! He proposed during a break in snowmobiling in front of Pyramid Peak over some hot chocolate.
Describe a hurdle you had to overcome in your relationship or during your wedding planning.
Any special ways you incorporated your family or family history into your wedding day?
Bridesmaids Dresses – Chosen by my bridesmaids – I told them to find a gown they loved in a shade of cornflower blue. My favorite look was a stunning floral gown by Reformation, worn by my maid of honor. Groomsmen / Groom Attire – To fit the theme of an elegant garden party, our groomsmen wore classic tuxedos. Gabriel wore a custom tuxedo by Belani with our initials on the collar.
What part of your wedding day was/is most important to you?
We decided to abandon traditional readings during the ceremony and instead opted to have our officiant tell the audience about our background and love story. We additionally wanted to the ceremony to be focused on our vows which we had both decided to personally write and say to each other during the ceremony. The ceremony music was a bag of our personal favorites played by a string trio! They played songs ranging from traditional bridal march to The Beatles. For our reception, we had a healthy mix of Motown, Soul, Funk, Pop and Reggaeton.
