We speak often of the magic of anniversary sessions, their uniqueness in capturing growth and time, and gracious ability to serve as sweet celebration for a marriage well-lived — today’s feature is little exception!
They say the first year of marriage is the hardest: it’s where every piece of your humanity meets another’s, and the union is not always as seamless as one would expect. You learn new things about each other like strange living habits and just exactly how clean the other keeps the sides of the sink, and without much surprise they don’t always align. Yet, in its “toughest” year, one also finds the truest definition of marriage, because marriage isn’t about closet organization and perfectly-synched morning bathroom routines (that comes with time!) — no, marriage is about two souls relentlessly pursuing each other for the simple bliss of realizing their collective greatness.
Today, we have the pleasure of featuring Eli & Sarah’s: one year’s time, one year’s battle, one year’s wisdom — and it is a blessing to behold!
A word from photographer Jessica Gold:
“Sarah & Eli, married last August 2016, celebrated their one year anniversary with a photo session. Having photographed their wedding only a year and 2 months before, having them in front of my camera again was very special. They brought along their precious pup Ryder to celebrate their little family! Sarah & Eli have had a journey filled with tears and laughter, their story growing stronger with love each day.”
