Bright Farmhouse Wedding Vibe Inspiration

Bright Farmhouse Wedding Vibe Inspiration

We are loving on this bright wedding inspiration today with a farmhouse / back to the land vibe that it offers. What a great way to pair a beautiful wedding beside some rustic carrots (and carrot cake!), bird details, and an earth toned (mostly dried!) floral bouquet!

from the photographer: “This inspiration shoot took place in my home. Many couples are looking for alternative ways to celebrate their love this season and I’ve had an influx of “at home” ceremony inquiries so I thought it would be beneficial to set up a “at home” faux elopement as inspiration. We photographed a real couple celebrating an anniversary at this shoot and since it took place in my home – we put together a “Farmhouse” story of a girl named Chickadee (Bride) and a boy named Rooster (Groom) and traveled to a nearby park for photographs with ducks/wildlife.”

“The floral industry has shifted as flower farms have suffered during this time. Our floral designer came up with a simple design that included a majority of dried florals and minimal real florals. The thought behind this was that couples could preserve their florals and enjoy them year-long. Her color palette was simple – orange, yellow, taupe and green. She mixed dried goods with flowers that were in season.”

“This theme wouldn’t be complete without a naked carrot cake on a wood stand. The small sized cake is perfect for an intimate affair. Our cake artist kept the design simple but impactful with layers and frosting. Our cake artist also baked cookies to match the recipe provided by our paper goods designer.

We love the idea of couples sharing/sending their favorite dessert recipe to their guests; in this editorial, we did so with a custom watercolor recipe card, and then showcased the dessert baked by Rita.”

“Vintage inspired florals and lovebirds adorn a garden trellis, which frame this elopement announcement and bespoke wedding invitation suite. Included are custom watercolor paintings, rose gold foil details and hand lettering on luxurious deckled cotton paper, wrapped with a lush, buttery silk ribbon and a dusty rose envelope, with a custom foiled envelope liner and white shimmer calligraphy.

In continuation with the farmhouse garden theme, there is a rose gold foiled details insert, an additional carrot cake cookie recipe card (that also includes custom watercolor illustrations and hand lettering), and two elevated seed packets, featuring the watercolor florals and lattice design, rose gold foil details and hand lettering. Finally, there are matching rose gold foil vow books with deckled edges and silk ribbon that completes the suite, but could easily be a sweet addition to any floral and garden wedding theme.”
