You could not be transported to a more magical and verdant dreamscape of a wedding location than this backdrop in Yosemite. If don’t believe me .. just scroll down until you find that image of these two standing on what appears to be the top of the world! Amber & Larry had an intimate wedding in a dream location, and it gave them the opportunity to get some absolutely epic photos around Yosemite. Their day was punctuated by the gorgeous sunset images, just bathing them in a warm glow and reflecting their love and happiness!
From the photographer: “Amber had a car accident that put her in the market for a new car. Her dad called her while she was out shopping with her mom one day, and told her to meet him at the Ford dealership to look at some options. When she got there, her dad was sitting with a cute salesman. When he got up to pull some cars for them to look at, her mom started nudging her under the table. “Oh my gosh Amber, he is soo cute! You need to get his number.” Amber reassured her mom that she was just there for a car, and that getting his number would be weird.
Amber recalls, “After he came back, Larry and I talked and got to know each other as we looked at the cars. Weirdly (though I didn’t think so at the time), we talked about our dating lives and how we have both had bad luck. We had so much in common – even our favorite color was turquoise, which I totally declared first, but he swears it was him.”
“My Mom completely saw the flirting and I was oblivious, even as he sent my parents home at the end so he could show me around my new car. He gave me his number and said, ‘Please text me if you need anything at all, really anything.’ I didn’t realize that included a future husband. He never stopped pursuing me, and after seeing him with his beautiful daughter and what an amazing Dad he was to her, I was hooked!”
And in case you’re wondering, Amber got a great deal on that car, but still jokes that Larry got the better deal!
Fast forward 8 years later. Amber and Larry dreamed of an intimate wedding in an epic location. They each researched places to get married and coincidentally came to each other with the same inspiration by Stephan and Adriana, so they knew they had to hire them for their Yosemite wedding. Brennan, with As You Wish Event Planning, worked hard to make sure everything went smoothly while also going above and beyond tackling all of the logistics it took to execute their day. That’s why they began their day getting ready at 3 am to catch the stunning sunrise in the park at tunnel view. Susan, with Jireh Artistry, created the perfect braided bridal hairstyle for Amber.”
