Ally & Peter | A Timeless Blue & White Wedding at The Breakers Palm Beach

There is something eternally elegant about Palm Beach – and Ally and Peter’s January wedding embraced it beautifully. Soft powder blue, romantic white florals, candlelight, and the unmistakable grandeur of The Breakers created a celebration that felt refined without losing its warmth.

Their story began nearly a decade earlier at The University of Alabama, where a college football game became an unexpectedly important first date. Years later, surrounded by the families who had supported them from the beginning, Ally and Peter returned to a place they love to begin their marriage with a breathtaking ceremony at the Basilica of St. Edward.

“At the end of the day we lean on each other, and seeing each other smile is what makes us the happiest.”

From Alabama to Palm Beach

“We met our freshman year at The University of Alabama – Roll Tide!” Ally shares. “We were each other’s dates to the football game back in 2016, and the rest is history!”

Nearly ten years later, that college romance brought them to Palm Beach for a wedding weekend filled with classic coastal details and a sense of timelessness.

Family has always been an important part of Ally and Peter’s relationship, and their wedding was no exception.

“We are so lucky to have our wonderful families, especially both of our mothers, who came together and so graciously were there every step of the way,” they share. “Our relationship with our families is extremely important to us, and I think that was visible during our big day.”

A Quiet Moment Before the Celebration

Before the ceremony began, Ally and Peter chose to spend one private moment together.

“Before we went our separate ways the morning of the wedding, we read our vows privately to each other,” they share. “It was so emotional and a beautiful start to the day.”

It was an intimate beginning to a day that would soon be filled with family, friends, and celebration – a chance to focus simply on one another before everything else unfolded.

A Breathtaking Ceremony at the Basilica of St. Edward

For Ally and Peter, the ceremony was one of the most meaningful parts of the entire weekend.

“Our ceremony at the Basilica of St. Edward in Palm Beach was absolutely breathtaking,” they share. “It’s difficult to choose the most important part, but we knew how special it was to have our ceremony there.”

The grandeur of the church offered a timeless setting for their vows before the celebration continued at The Breakers.

Timeless Palm Beach Style

The wedding design embraced the effortless elegance Palm Beach does so well. Powder blue details appeared throughout the celebration, complemented by abundant white florals and greenery from Renny & Reed.

At The Breakers, the palette felt perfectly at home against the resort’s iconic architecture. Candlelight softened the reception as evening arrived, while romantic floral arrangements brought texture and movement to the tables. A flower-adorned wedding cake and vintage getaway car added to the sense of classic romance.

Rather than leaning heavily into a coastal theme, the design captured Palm Beach through atmosphere – polished, airy, romantic, and timeless.

Watching Their Vision Come to Life

For Ally, one of the joys of the engagement was watching a relatively simple vision become something far greater through the creative process with GLDN Events.

“Our meetings were full of laughter and just overall so much fun,” she shares. “Seeing our small vision become what it turned out to be because of them was truly incredible to see.”

The finished celebration reflected that collaboration – elegant details and beautiful surroundings paired with the kind of ease that allowed Ally and Peter to remain present in the experience.

A Marriage Filled With Laughter

After nearly a decade together, it isn’t simply the milestone moments that Ally and Peter value most.

“We make each other laugh so much – even through struggles,” they share. “At the end of the day we lean on each other, and seeing each other smile is what makes us the happiest.”

And perhaps that is what made their Palm Beach celebration feel so fitting: beneath all of the beauty was something wonderfully simple – two people who still genuinely love being together.
