Ashley & Andy had the sweetest rooftop engagement session in Alabama! With the sun just setting over the Redmont Hotel, the golden light sneaked through and lit up these two lovers for their beautiful photos! We touched base with them to ask them a few questions about their story, and how they met …
How did you two meet? What were your first impressions of one another?
We met at bible study one night at our church and immediately connected. Andy then asked me out a few months later as we talked for hours on our first date at our favorite local coffee shop. We knew that the Lord had something special in store for us and He has been the center of our relationship ever since!

Tell us a funny story relating to your wedding day or relationship!
We literally laugh together all the time. We always crack jokes and giggle with each other.
Describe a hurdle you had to overcome in your relationship or during your wedding planning.
Getting our crazy popular priest to sign the marriage prep paperwork, because he was in Camaroon, Africa when we had a deadline for the church. We laugh about it now, because I literally bugged our priest, who is one of our dearest friends, weekly about it!
Any special ways you incorporated your family or family history into your wedding day?
We’re getting married at the Cathedral of St. Paul, where my parents got married 33 years ago.
What part of your wedding day was/is most important to you?
The ceremony – truly becoming one!
What is the best thing you’ve learned from one another?
To always be patient with each other and selfless towards one another. We love doing little things for each other – like making each other our favorite cup of tea or a smoothie!
What is your favorite thing about each other?
We love each other’s hearts, eyes and smiles. Those three are truly the window into the soul and that’s what we love best about one another.
What was your favorite part about planning your wedding?
Inviting our family into the wedding planning process. We both honor our families opinion and want to include them every step of the way.
If you had one piece of advice for other couples, what would it be?
Always be quick to forgive!
What is the most honest thing you can say about love?
True love sets you free to be who you’re created to be. We’ve found that our love for each other draws us closer to our Creator and gives us that inner freedom.
