Industrial and metal meets soft and feminine in this wedding inspiration juxtaposed with two opposites!
from the photographer: “This is an inspiration for the couple who desire a wedding that is a stunning combination of bold and romantic. Natural textures were paired with smooth textiles throughout, creating a chic design of perfect balance as the historical and romantic merges with the modern.
Our story is one of a breezy spring day, full of the optimism of true love and a joyous al fresco celebration. The palette is a soft interpretation of the Pantone Colors of the Year. Energetic yellows are balanced by creamy tones and rose accents, set against the dramatic grey stone of this quarry venue. In every detail, old world meets new.
Airy florals and delicate textiles celebrate the spacious scale and architecture of The Woolery Mill, a historical landmark of Bloomington, Indiana built in 1930. The former limestone quarry has been transformed into a chic venue, merging the best of dramatic scale and beautiful design. For the midwest or destination couple who love the industrial venue and are looking for a luxurious and truly unique celebration, this is the perfect location.
Taking our notes from the dramatic stone and beam surroundings, we looked to florals to echo those dramatic vertical elements with For The Beauty Floral, utilizing blooming branches as the base and echoing their delicate lines throughout the more intimate arrangements. Roses used throughout from Grace Rose Farm inspired the bridal beauty look by Indy Bridal Co. with a beautiful soft base and petal-toned lip. Natural loose waves for the hair give the perfectly chic and laid-back vibe under a cathedral-length veil with a beaded scalloped edge.
In a location full of texture and grand lines, the bridal outfitting is kept clean in this stunning Mikaella Bridal with romantic crumb-catcher neckline (provided by Sophia’s Bridal and Tux) with linen pumps by Dior. Delicate bouquet ribbons by tone + co keep the eye dancing with this beautiful bridal silhouette. Smoothly gliding under the dramatic overhead steel tramways is our ceremony space, utilizing the gentle steps to create a stunning focal point. Balance and movement is retained in the dramatic setting with a delicate pair of freestanding arrangements, reaching up toward the venue’s most iconic features.
Bespoke cocktails by in-house and exceptional One World Catering next to the stone fountains set the tone for an incredible cocktail hour. Utilizing seasonal fruits with visually tantalizing accents, each glass is a delight for every sense. Tonal palette linens take their cues from the $orals once again, greeting guests with lush blooms in statement and ikebana-influenced arrangements.
The transition to the dining table holds more bespoke touch-points as guests are greeted with menus from the event suite created by Creative In Bloom. Wreath-shaped wax seal stamps are a uniquely charming design element utilized throughout the collection, which merges clean type and proportion with calligraphy evoking old-world romance and artistic elements.”
