This pastel studio session was filled with bright white surroundings and muted colors tones but motherhood itself is anything but pastel! Instead it is vibrant, bright, full of liveliness and undeniable joy! Just as you’ll see below, the simple moments are what make up life and these memories are truly what make us whole.
The universal nature of motherhood can often make us overlook the unique and wondrous gift that it is. Day in and day out, we love and shape and care for our children, rarely with any celebration. The art of our love is hidden from the world, but written deeply in the hearts of our little ones. My desire is to use photography as a medium to reveal the beautiful nature of motherhood, to illustrate the truth that our messy work is the inspirational magic that all the world needs to see. – Kelly White Photography
What are the best things you’ve learned from each other? See the fun in all the little things in the world through our children’s eyes.
As a mother, I take a lot of photos of Beckham and Wynn, and it is not often I find myself behind the camera with them. It was so special getting to do a motherhood session with Kelly. She is such a calm and patient person. It made shooting with my two littles stress free and enjoyable! She was so helpful – from giving wardrobe recommendations to making my boys feel at home and comfortable in her beautiful home studio. My vision was to capture our authentic connection together through all the laughs and the tears, and the gallery truly exceeded my expectations! I am so thankful I have these memories to look back on for years to come. I will cherish them forever! -Morgan Brunson(mother)
What’s your favorite family pastime together? Swimming at our favorite spots – our swimming pool, Lake Hamilton, and the ocean!
Any lessons you learned as a family through the last year? Spend quality time with each person in the family. We enjoy all of us being together, but having intentional one-on-one time as well has been great for bonding.
If you had one piece of advice for other families, what would it be? Be in the moment – children grow up too fast!
What does family mean to you? Everything!
What have you recently done to put family as a major focus in your life? We try to not focus so much on household chores after work and school so that we can enjoy the evenings together without distractions.
