“Our journey together has been full of laughter, conversation, and quiet moments that mean the world to us. From long walks—whether outside or wandering through a store—to deep discussions about everything under the sun, we’ve grown closer with every step. Church has also played a special role in our relationship, helping us build lasting friendships and deepen our faith through Orthodox events like young adult conferences and Orthodoxy on Tap.
We are a bit of an opposites-attract couple: Lucas loves to dance, and though Angelina isn’t much of a dancer, he always manages to pull her onto the dance floor. On the flip side, Angelina loves card and board games, and Lucas—though not a fan—plays along with a smile. Our tastes in music range widely, from Sufjan Stevens to System of a Down, and yes, we are well aware how different they are!
One of our most cherished shared artifacts is a candle—Oakmoss and Incense from Meijer—that reminds us of so many meaningful moments. Together, we enjoy naps, coffee, and indulging in small treats like chocolate milk. We also love watching Studio Ghibli movies, Over the Garden Wall, and listening to the Lord of Spirits podcast. Lucas is an avid reader of poetry and The Lord of the Rings, while Angelina expresses her love through cooking and baking.
Our ultimate goal is simple: to grow old together, or as we like to say, to become ancient together.” A+ L
