Today we have an intimate Texas wedding held at the Commodore Perry Estate. Christen and Riley wanted the day to be focused on their closest family and friends. The ceremony location was nestled in the garden beside the lovely European looking Mansion as they took their nuptials surrounded by their loved ones. Truly beautiful and theres no better time than time spent with those closest to you!
Christen and Riley were always destined to be together. Their parents are friends and knew the two had to meet (unbeknownst to them!) Both families were in Whitefish, Montana, where both of their parents have homes. Rileyâs family invited Christenâs family over for dinner, and as soon as Riley opened the door and Christen saw him, the rest is history! They were both in Texas, with Christen in Dallas and Riley in Austin, but Christen quickly moved to Austin. As she told me, when you know, you know!
For their wedding, they wanted it to be focused on their closest family and friends and chose to have an intimate wedding at the Commodore Perry Estate. Tucked in Downtown Austin, this venue really feels like you have flown to the Italian countryside. Christen wanted the wedding to feel romantic, classic, and timeless.
They had their ceremony in the Sunken Garden, which is a highlight of this venue. It is perfectly manicured and offered the most immaculate spot for the two to say their vows. After the ceremony, we walked around the grounds for sunset portraits, where the two absolutely glowed! Christenâs stunning gown and cathedral veil really were the spotlight. The reception took place in the garden, with a single long table for their 12 guests to dine. Each guest got a gift from Tiffanyâs, which added a special touch to this intimate affair. The tables featured large floral arrangements with white roses, ranunculus, Italian Ruscus, and touches of soft blush accents. As the sun set, the table glowed with dozens of candles, and cafe lights strung above. It was the perfect evening! -Julie Wilhite Photography
