from the photographer: “A warm summer evening. Elegant details. Pops of citrus. Come with us to the French Countryside.
The vision for our styled shoot included bold blues, powder pinks and splashes of green and yellow citrus all married together to create an elegant, French Countryside-inspired wedding. The wedding couple was surrounded by beautiful bright floral arrangements and intricate elegance.
The venue helped create an atmosphere of historic elegance. With its mature trees with beautiful blooms and lush greenery, Boydville, The Inn at Martinsburg perfectly captured the countryside style. There is something so timeless, romantic, and beautiful about the gardens and ceremony space.
The details and elegance carried inside as well! The indoor space featured hand-carved mantles, large spacious rooms with high ceilings, and original wallpaper in the hallways. You could feel the history and all the moments of madly-in-love couples from the past as you walked through the rooms.
Curated pale pinks, blues, and elegant accents perfectly fit the pastoral setting for the perfect French countryside feel. Delicate hand lettered calligraphy adorned the invitation suite and letters from the bride and groom to each other.
The table décor and accent pieces were soft and feminine, with pinks and oranges in the floral arrangements and desserts. We paired it with bubbly champagne and metallic accents.
When you sit down, each seat greets you with bold blue plates and a matching agate stone place setting with names hand written in calligraphy. Each guest has their own charcuterie goblet of meat, cheese, crackers and fruit. A tower of colorful Macarons stands in place of a traditional cake.
Guests of the wedding partook in garden games and refreshing drinks. What would a French wedding be without the merriment that a European tap truck offers? This European Piaggio mini truck was converted into a vintage mobile prosecco and craft beer bar. It has seven taps to pour perfectly chilled Prosecco, beer or cocktails.
Our hope is that this styled wedding whisked you off to an adventure in France and gave you some inspiration.”
