Peace is a word that we often don’t think about in today’s society. There’s a lot of hustle, a lot of ‘doing’, and a lot of multitasking (which we now know from science, isn’t even possible for our brains to do). But we don’t talk about peace a lot. How different would our lives be if we took more time to just sit in quiet? To clear our brains, to not worry about what is next? Our minds would heal, our bodies would rejuvenate no doubt, and our senses would heighten.
This shoot captured by Ashley Marie Photography reminds us of this feeling. To sit quietly and feel salty ocean breezes, the sun on our faces, with our cares temporarily put aside. To just be, rather than to worry.
