There’s little more lovely than a blustery day along the coast—the windswept catch of salty air, the gentle hum of waves kissing the shore… It’s a perfect romance of earth and elements, a gentle dance of summertime meeting fall. There is such richness about it which sets the soul alight, and it’s that romanticism which sent Ashleigh & Richie into the throws of this wild beauty to celebrate their engagement with Melissa Blythe! Their session is enchantment defined, a sweeping portrayal of nature and affection, and I for one and hopelessly in love!

“On a late summer evening Ashleigh and Richie met me on North Topsail Beach with their cute Dalmatian puppy, Percy for their engagement session. Because Autumn was quickly approaching the couple chose to wear outfits that reflected the season, with deeper tones.
Everything about this entire session was very relaxed, easy going and natural! Ashleigh ad Richie weren’t even the least bit of camera shy which made my job super fun! They had no problem at all cuddling up on a sand dune or even getting in the ocean during the last portion of their session! It was so interesting to learn about their relationship, how they met and what their goals are for the future. Ashleigh is from South Africa and has been in the states for just two years, she and Richie are both law students at UNCW and have so much going on in their busy lives!
I’m so happy to now call this couple some of my dear friends. I cannot wait to watch them grow together and begin to plan their wedding down the line!”
